Open wagons type Om Breslau and Om Essen

The most common wagon to be found on the railways of the DRG were the types Om Breslau and Om Essen. Between 1913 and 1920 in excess of 100,000 of these wagons were ordered by the German State Railways. Built to Verbandsbaurt (unified) drawing A10. An unspecified number of these were claimed as part of war reparations after 1918. On the founding of the DRG in 1920 approximately 139,000 were taken into the DRG stock. Up to 1928 a further 75,000 were built. In may 1934, 139,410 Om wagons were on the DRG roster. Between 1934 and 1938 a further 3,870 wagons were built and classified as Om.
